What church are you serving in at present?
Cucamonga Christian Fellowship
Briefly describe your testimony of coming to Christ:
My search for God took many turns in religions that were steeped in pluralism. I was determined to know who God was. After viewing Jesus of Nazareth I did say to myself that ” I wish I had a friend like Jesus” but didn’t know how to find him. During that time I met a group of singles doing outreach who invited me to church. After being loved and encouraged by them to choose Christ, a power encounter ensued and I was led to prayer by my little sister. Later as I saw the love of Jesus in the Scriptures I fully gave my heart to Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.
Briefly describe your understanding of God’s calling on your life:
Considering my education and experience it has become clear that I am called to be a pastor/missionary. The Lord has made it clear to me that I am to feed his sheep. At the moment I am exploring that call by co-leading as Spiritual Director for CCF’s Compassion Center. My responsibilities include Spiritual Formation and Development, soul care, giving a cross cultural evangelistic message and recruiting volunteers to support that effort . Also collaborating with the Youth Pastor to develop an Evangelism/prayer team to work with Compassion Center and plant a Justice core group for young adults who have a heart for ministry beyond the walls of the church. Volunteering will also result in practical job experience for youth. I am also part of our pastoral/prophetic release team, prayer team.
How did you come to the Free Methodist Church?
A friend invited me to hear a guest speaker that I had known from my prior church. I was searching for anew church and had visited a few with no luck. At LLCF North I was impressed with the results in mission and in the activity for such a small church. After the third visit I decided to continue my search a little more but as I walked to my car I felt the Lord’s presence surround me and I felt a tug as if to say “come back”.
After many questions I finally gave in and joined not realizing there was so much that would resonate with my spirit and allow me to pursue my destiny.
