What church are you serving in at present?

Light and Life Christian Fellowship Long Beach

Briefly describe your testimony of coming to Christ:

Senior year of High School I began attending a Baptist church with a high school friend. My friend’s family embraced me and loved on me, prayed for me, and were very kind. This love I experienced made my heart soft for the gospel. Upon arrival at UC Santa Barbara I came across Campus Crusade for Christ through whom I came to know and believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ. My freshmen year I began a new life that became an adventure of faith, growth, and numerous challenges. I began to experience the abundant life and by the grace of God, have never turned back.

Briefly describe your understanding of God’s calling on your life:

When I became a Christian in college, the Lord had already given me gifts and heart of a pastor. I had always been a natural leader and a compassionate people’s person. When I was awakened to new life in Christ I slowly began to see God using these and more things for the building up of his kingdom in college. I began to lead Bible studies, to share the gospel, to disciple men, and to lead mission trips. Through a process of stepping out in faith and discernment I came to understand that my biggest impact for the Kingdom would have to be in full time ministry. I left behind my dreams, picked up my cross, and followed Jesus to the mission field where my calling was solidified three years later. Although every believer is called to minister, I understand my calling to be that of a pastor that will shepherd the flock that God entrusts me with in the future.

How did you come to the Free Methodist Church?

Through some Campus Crusade friends we came to find out about Light and Life. They described it as a multicultural and community involved church. My wife and I were quickly sold, especially after visiting.
