Where were you born?

El Salvador

When and how did you come to know Jesus Christ?

I came to Christ in 1991. I had just been released from the hospital due to a drug overdose. I came to see my parents and saw my uncle, a lay pastor praying for my sick dad. I did not receive Christ because I witnessed a miracle. It was my uncle’s prayers and perseverance that led the holy spirit to convict me of my sins. It was a matter of time till I realized that I needed Christ. It was that very moment that my life was surrendered to Christ.

Describe your personal journey that led you to ordination. Include education, training, mentoring, service, and giftedness.

It has been a tough and uphill battle in my journey. From being a pastor for over 12 years in Mexico to a Fuller student and a Chaplain, I owe much of my victories to my wife and kids. They have sacrificed a lot in order to achieve my goals. At the same time, the mentorship and love from my mentor Pastor Joe Castillo,  has led me to grow as a person and minister. He has helped me pursue my academic and ministry goals.

Describe how you intend to fulfill your ordination vows.
