What church are you serving in at present?
Cucamonga Christian Fellowship
Briefly describe your testimony of coming to Christ:
I grew up in a Christian home always knowing about God but never actually knowing God. I finally came to relationship with the Lord at 16 when the Holy Spirit stirred me beyond terminology to true knowledge of God. It has been a great journey of knowing God, knowing myself, and gradually understanding the calling, destiny, and purpose of being God’s beloved child.
Briefly describe your understanding of God’s calling on your life:
I believe God has first and foremost called me to be loved by Him. I receive this love through a wide variety of activities that include ministry oriented applications, teaching, preaching, musical worship, creative writing/poetry, counseling, relationship, and equipping others. I believe the Lord is calling me and my wife to partner together in stirring the Church beyond the current functions of focusing mainly on Sundays to worship and prayer lifestyles that focus on the community of Christ through the entire week. I believe this looks like the elements of organic house churches, houses of prayer, schools of ministry, transitional living, Kingdom businesses, and many other aspects as well. I still believe this is being apostolic or pastoral in nature and is a call to partner in and with the Church to see the Kingdom of Christ expanded in our world.
How did you come to the Free Methodist Church?
I cam to the FMC through a house of prayer that I was a part of that was supported by Cucamonga Christian Fellowship. I took a CCF class that was a prerequisite to be a part of a ministry team and fell in love with the history and vision of the FMC. I also studied at Point Loma Nazarene University so I enjoyed the Wesleyan heritage and the beautiful understanding of God’s grace. I love the intentionality and purpose behind all things in the FMC and I have come to truly feel for the first time in my life in the Church (6 other denominations) that I actually belong.
