What church are you serving in at present?

Santa Barbara/ West Side Initiative

Briefly describe your testimony of coming to Christ:

I came to know the Lord as a high school student in a small conservative baptist school in Southern California. I was learning about the cell in biology class, and it became clear to me that life was designed by a creator. I began to read the Bible and learn more about this creator. I soon entered into a relationship with the person of Jesus. I am still blessed to be in the process of working out my salvation with fear and trembling as I seek further relationship with Christ.

Briefly describe your understanding of God’s calling on your life:

I believe that God calls His Church to care for the lost, the broken, the alone, immigrant, the widow, the orphan, and the most vulnerable among us. I hope to participate in God’s work of active redemption in the world by serving the least of these, and being a faithfully present member of a community characterized by love.

How did you come to the Free Methodist Church?

I was first introduced to the Free Methodist Church by Kelly Soifer, and later became an intern with the Center for Transformational Leadership. This experience radically shaped the way I view myself in relation to the world and the Church. It also had a formative influence in my own thinking and theology. I am now proud to call myself a member of the Free Methodist Church.
