What church are you serving in at present?
Santa Barbara- West side Initative
Briefly describe your testimony of coming to Christ:
I started walking with Christ when I was in middle school. As I walked through the death of my mom, I found great comfort and hope in the power of Christ. As I grew up I came to intimately know Him, and I am continuing in this growth today. I am thankful to know the Creator of the universe as my Father, Redeemer, and Friend.
Briefly describe your understanding of God’s calling on your life:
We learn in James that true religion is to take care of the widow and orphan. I have found that the Lord is calling me to love the marginalized and powerless in our communities. I have a heart to lead and shepherd small communities of people. Furthermore, I desire to raise up leaders and equip people to do the work of the Kingdom. God is calling me to seek Him and to love Him as I bear His image and love His precious creation.
How did you come to the Free Methodist Church?
After attending a non denominational church my first few years of college I was invited by Kelly Soifer to come to Free Methodist. I have yet to walk away since. I have a home at our church. After wrestling through a religious studies major at Wesmont, I found great peace and contentment in not only what was preached on Sunday morning, but the practical application of Wesleyan theology. I found that I was surrounded by a group of people that lived out the Gospel in an authentic and tangible way. I am thankful to continue in ministry in the Free Methodist Church.
